Lorraine Surcouf

Lorraine Surcouf has been exhibiting and selling her paintings for 40 years in Canada, U.S.A. and Mexico, and is a mature professional artist who has accomplished a significant body of work.

Lorraine attended the Winnipeg School of Art and the Ontario College of Art, where Alan Collier, the well-known landscape artist taught her the egg tempera technique. She loves the egg tempera medium used by the Old Masters because of its translucent delicate color effects.

Her paintings are in many corporate and private collections and include the Rothman Collection, Imperial Oil Ltd., T. Eaton Co. Ltd., American Express and the Toronto Public Library. She has taught both children and adults the techniques of watercolor and egg tempera.

Lorraine owned and operated The Gallery On The Hill in Uxbridge, Ontario, where she supported local artists for many years, and was prominent in the arts community , initiating many artist events.
A recent move from Ontario to Pemberton gives Lorraine the opportunity to be near her family and continue her work as a landscape artist.
