Tassila Elizabeth
I grew up on Quadra Island, BC, spending my childhood tromping through the bush, beach-combing, and fishing. During Secondary School I studied visual arts, art history, graphics... all with the intention of pursuing a degree in fine arts. During the summers I would saltwater guide at Painters Lodge and April Point lodge and quickly became hooked on fishing, fly-fishing in particular! Deciding to put my art endeavors on hold I moved to Whistler and started a fly fishing company with a friend. Now having satisfied my fishing career, I have decided to go back to painting and pursuing an art career as a Whistler artist. My main composition is contemporary abstract painting, focusing on trees and nature. I paint primarily with Acrylic and some mixed medium.
